Endouble is looking for a new Data Protection Officer to advise us on privacy regulations and legislation compliance. Currently, the DPO is not a full-time job. We will reserve 0,5FTE (or 2,5 days a week) for a DPO position, and would ideally combine it with another position within the organisation.

The role:

The Data Protection Officer is a new role in the company. The main responsibilities are the companies’ compliance with, consultancy, and education on privacy regulation and good practices. The DPO will work closely with CISO and will report directly to the CEO. 

As our new Data Protection Officer, your goal is to: 

  • Ensure internal compliance with privacy regulation
  • Provide advice and verify creation of privacy policies
  • Write and update detailed guides on data protection policies
  • Train staff involved in data processing and compliance

Your tasks will consist of: 

  • Monitoring data management procedures and compliance within the company
  • Maintaining comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the company, including the purpose of all processing activities, which must be made public on request
  • Participating in meetings with managers to ensure privacy by design at all levels
  • Auditing DPA’s and proposals from customers
  • Consulting CSM & Product on best practices regarding PII (e.g. “cookie wall”)
  • Consulting customers on more complex issues or advising SPOC about the issue
  • Acting as point of contact for customers and authorities in case of a data breach
  • Cooperating with the supervisory authority

Required skills:

We expect the candidate to be knowledgeable on the topic of privacy and data regulation, however, we don’t expect the candidate to be CIPP/E certified before joining us. 

Since our current customers are a 50/50 split Dutch/English speaking we have a preference for a candidate that is able to read Dutch on a professional level. 

However, we are open to candidates that are willing to improve their Dutch speaking skills.

Education

There are opportunities to improve your skills by doing the CIPP/E training and certification, and also a combination of the CIPM and/or CIPT trainings based on the current level of knowledge of the candidate. But we are open for alternatives too.
